Why do you guys act like Bisexuality is somehow overridden by heterosexuality?

Okay I’m gonna start by saying whoever tweeted this is biphobic and all of y’all reblogging should be ashamed as hell. First let me start off by saying that yes a bi person in a straight relationship does have privilege that is true but so does a gay man and a lesbian who are in straight relationship. To be up front if u haven’t come out yet and your in a opposite sex relationship u will have privilege that’s just literally facts. Secondly that whole “bi people have it easier in straight relationships because they like men” is fucking bullshit. Bi women routinely hide their sexuality from the their partners for fear of being stereotyped as a “cheater” or “slut”. Also if y’all could I don’t know read up about bi women once in y’all lives u would know out of ever other group bi women have the highest rate of Intimate partner violence (which is probably excessively worse for bi women of color). The tweets above are the main reason bi women don’t like talking about their issues or the problems they face at all because of shit like this. Honestly this girl could’ve just said “If u are in a straight relationship (no matter what sexuality u are) u will be privileged. That’s just how it works. However if your not happy and your making yourself sick hiding a big part of yourself from your partner it’s time to call it quits.” But u know instead she specifically singled out bi people because we’re literally every bodies punching bags. Also did y’all forget about bi trans women and men in straight relationship who can’t “pass” who can still be beat the fuck up if people even have an inkling that their not straight.

(Sidenote: Smalldarlinglesbian blog is biphobic as hell and I would suggest all of my followers to block her)
